Michael T. Lombardi is an actor, writer, producer, and Emmy nominated director of independent film, television, and web-based entertainment productions. He currently owns and operates Michael T. Originals, an independent production company.
When Michael isn't writing scripts or directing/producing/acting in his own films, he has several jobs which help pay the bills, including hosting events, doing commercial voice-over work, and writing & acting in local television commercials. He is also a proud, long-time volunteer of the Special Olympics organization, where he has worked closely with his aunt Katie who has IDD. She has provided him with much inspiration and love over the years, and continues to do so. Michael is also a volunteer for the Best Buddies International organization, where he works in the community through their Citizens Program, and teaches performing arts classes to individuals with IDD.
Michael T. Lombardi began performing in his grandparents living room at age 10, and has been at it ever since. While his background was initially in comedy (Michael is also an accomplished celebrity voice impersonator), he has gone on to have success playing other diverse and challenging dramatic roles.
Michael was raised and educated in the Northeast, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Communication with a minor degree in Theater Fine Arts. After several years as a freelancer at ESPN where he worked in multiple positions, he then spent time in Los Angeles, working as a background actor on numerous film and television productions, and behind the scenes for E! Entertainment Television and for Nickelodeon.
After returning to the Northeast, Michael continued to freelance as a writer, and commercial voice-over artist, while continuing to making independent films. He wrote, produced, directed and starred in four films – Kidd’s Gold and the Legend of Belltown Hill (Short Film) which earned him a New England Emmy nomination for best director, Lost & Found (Short Film), Grandpa is a Weirdo! (Feature Length), and the suspense/thriller Creepy Crawley (Feature Length). He then produced a limited event series for the web, the four episode Halloween tribute series Haddonfield Hills.
In 2013, Michael created the family comedy television series Welcome to Grandpaville, which consisted of 9 original episodes, and the 2015 original movie Grandpaland. The show aired it's series finale in August 2016, which paved the way for a new series comedy pilot called
Brooke & Carly, featuring several characters from Grandpaville, including Michael's character of Rupert Kincaid. That pilot is currently being shopped to various media outlets.
In addition, Michael has written over 40 feature, short film, and television/web scripts.
